3 Steps to overcome every struggle.

The bible says that we are more than conquerors. (Romans 8:37)

What does that really mean though? Can we really win every time? Is that the opposite of what you feel and see in your life? You’ve taken blow after blow and it feels like you can’t get back up.

Well, I have good news. We are not called to live by what we see and feel! We are called to live by FAITH. When you live by faith, you live by the solid declaration that the word of God is FACT. If the bible says you can have it, you can have it. If the bible says it’s already yours, then its already yours.

To live by faith and not by sight takes determination, courage, and strength. More good news, none of that needs to come from you! The bible lays out 3 steps to ensure you conquer every single time. Find your bible, and turn to Joshua 1. Can we really learn about courage and not read Joshua? No.

The entire chapter is an amazing read. We, however, are going to focus on 1:7-8. These two verses are where the Lord lays out 3 steps to success. These are not my steps. I didn’t come up with these. They are not a magic bullet shortcut to get to the glory. These are God’s simple instructions on how to win every time! Don’t you want to win every time? To know that it doesn’t matter what happens in this life, you will be a conqueror! That there is absolutely nothing that the enemy could try, that would send you toppling over into oblivion?

“Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

  1. Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips. Your words matter! What comes out of your mouth is an overflow of what’s really in your heart. (Matt 12:34) Your words have life and death in them. (Proverbs 18:21) You will receive what you speak out. You will “eat” the fruit of your words, so choose them wisely.
  2. Meditate on the word of God both day and night. What you choose to focus on becomes your reality. As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. (Proverbs 23:7) You have two gates into your heart. Your ear gate, and your eye gate. What goes through these two entrances, into your life will determine what you focus on. If you binge-watch the bachelorette every night for a few hours and listen to sappy/sad and emotional songs, then you will get caught up in your own emotions. If you watch murder mystery shows and read murder mystery books more then you are in the word, then your focus will be on every creak you hear when the kids are asleep and your husband isn’t home. If you’re really into medical shows and you watch them for hours, you will begin to question every ache in your body. “Is my headache just because I’ve had 3 cups of coffee, 2 sodas, and absolutely no water, or is a brain tumor and I’m now dying?” Your focus becomes your reality! Put more time and energy into reading your word, listening to anointed preaching, and praying then you do on anything else, and you will always fall back on the TRUTH. The word of God.
  3. Be careful to do everything written in it. We must be doers of the word and not hearers only. (James 1:22) When you stand on what the word of God says, You are choosing to walk by faith. Faith is not inactive. Faith without deeds is dead! (James 2:14-26) You can’t say ” I believe God has healed me!” and then turn around that same day and go to the Dr.

Pause here! Please do not hear me wrong. I am not saying you should not be going to the doctor. If you are not in a place of faith to stand in your healing then please, please, go to the doctor. As you build up your faith by hearing the word of God, (Romans 10:17) You will eventually come to a place in your faith where you refuse to go to the doctor because you are that sure of what God says about your healing. End pause break.

Faith and strength come when you walk out the word. When you start walking in the knowledge that you are prosperous, so you give, and give, and give. To the point where it seems ridiculous. You walk in the way the lord has laid before even when the world says you look crazy. When you know the word says to lay hands on the sick and they will recover, you start laying hands on every sick person you can find. You become a doer of the word.

You won’t see the miracles of God until you start walking in the courage to put God in a position to do what He said he would do. You’re not testing God when you start laying hands-on people. Jesus told you to do it! You’re not testing God when you give all of what’s in your account to a ministry going after souls because you felt pressed by the spirit to do it. God HIMSELF said to give, tithes AND offering, and see if he won’t open the heavens up. You aren’t testing God when you walk in what he says is your inheritance. God’s word says that you are blessed coming in and blessed going out. Blessed in the field and blessed in the city! (Deut 28)

Start to walk in the knowledge of your inheritance. Walk in courage. We are to go from glory to glory, strength to strength. God is not a god of backward motion. If you are walking in the instructions of the word and obeying what God tells you, then your life has no choice but to be blessed. The enemy has no choice but to cow tail it and run away from you in 7 different directions. Please take a moment to think about that. Get a good image. How scared does someone have to be to run away from you in 7 different directions? Like they just can’t seem to find the exit fast enough that they keep passing it over and over again, looking like a nutball.

Speak this scripture over yourself today! “I am strong and VERY courageous!” Joshua 1:7

You are strong and courageous, walk in that knowledge today, and be blessed.
