No deposit…No return!

If I am not continually depositing the living word of God into my heart, then when I need to have the faith to stand on the promises written in that word, there will be no return.

What we fill our hearts with is what comes spilling over when a storm comes. It can’t help it, it just topples out of our mouths. Luke 6:45

Depositing the word into your mind, body and spirit needs to be a daily thing. You can’t read the scripture that the pastor reads on sunday and expect to have grand faith. You need to being pouring the living water of the word into your body on daily, and sometimes hourly basis. If you expect the word of God to come bubbling out of you when you are faced with a trial, then you better believe you have to put some deposits in. No deposit, no withdrawal. You can’t go to the bank and try to take out 300 dollars if you haven’t even opened an account right?

You recently got saved and have given your life to Jesus Christ. You just tied yourself to heaven. This account is tied to so many blessings and promises. They are you inheritance. Yours! No one can take them away from you now! But you would never know that if you didn’t read up on what you’re entitled to. When you start reading about what has been promised to the seed of Abraham, which you now are by the way (Gal :3:29), then you realize these things are yours to grab hold of.

  • You are blessed coming in and blessed going out. Blessed in the city and blessed in the field. Deut 28:3
  • That God will bless you. gen 13:14

When you deposit the word into you heart, mind and spirit, you begin to understand who you are in Christ. You begin to live in these truths.

I am the righteousness of Christ. 2 Cor 5:21

I am the head and not the tail, above and never beneath. Deuteronomy 28:13

I am a partaker of His divine nature. 2 peter 1:4

I have the mind of Christ. 1 Cor 2:16

I am upheld by the very hand of God. Isaiah 41:10-13

I am protected from sickness under the shadow of the almighty. It cannot come near my home. Psalm 91

Anything I ask, to glorify God, it will be done in Jesus’ name. John 14:13, 15:7, 15:16, Matt 18:19, 21:22, Mark 11:24 and more.

When you live and breathe and have your being in Christ and on the word of God, you will naturally develop the fruit of the spirit.

Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

You won’t have to strive to be any of these things. The more time you spend with the Lord, the more you develop His character.

Focus on a relationship with the Lord, not where you think you fall short.

Challenge: Give your first fruits to the Lord. Before you do anything in the morning, pray. Pray in the spirit, for a few minutes. Build up your spirit man until you can Pray for 30 min before you do anything else. Exercise your faith just like anything else. Practice.
